PTB is the national metrology institute in Germany. It is located in Charlottenburg, Berlin, close to the Ernst-Reuter-Platz metro station and the Zoologischer Garten regional train station.

Getting to PTB in Berlin-Charlottenburg

1. By public transportation

Take any of the following connections:
  • Bus line M45, Otto-Suhr-Allee bus stop
  • Bus line 245, Marchstraße bus stop
  • Bus line 101, Cauerstraße/Guerickestraße bus stop
  • U-Bahn (underground) lines U2, U9: Ernst-Reuter-Platz or Zoologischer Garten stations
  • S-Bahn (commuter train) lines S3, S5, S7, S9: Zoologischer Garten or Tiergarten stations

2. Coming from BER Airport

Take the S-Bahn line S9 in the direction to Spandau Bhf. Get off at S+U Zoologischer Garten and then take the U2 in the direction to Theodor-Heuss-Platz and get off at Ernst-Reuter-Platz.

3. Coming from Berlin Central Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof)

  • Leave the station at the exit Europaplatz, Invalidenstraße. Take bus line 245 in the direction to Zoologischer Garten, get off at Dovebrücke bus stop.
  • Or, take any of the following S-Bahn lines from platform 16:
    • S3 in the direction to Spandau Bhf,
    • S5 in the direction to Westkreuz,
    • S7 in the direction to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof,
    • S9 in the direction to Spandau Bhf

Find the lecture hall on PTB campus

Enter the southern campus part from Abbestraße and head towards the Herrmann-von-Helmholtz-Bau (see campus map). Inside the Helmholtz-Bau, directions to the lecture hall will be provided.
